Proposals for the Matching Awards Program are selected for funding through a two-stage process. Applicants must first submit a pre-proposal to the NFF. The pre-proposals are evaluated, and a subset of the organizations submitting pre-proposals is invited to submit full proposals. The process from pre-proposal submission to notification of funding of full proposals generally takes about four months.
